Sevi last night
she always wants to talk at bedtime which is great. confided in me that she hopes she gets to the end of the school week quickly because it's been very hard lately. I asked what was hard and she said they were writing fairy tales, which she found really hard. we talked about how having a wild imagination could be the fun part, and she made up some outlandish things to show she could do it, but we also talked about how getting thoughts down in writing was hard.

A Field Guide to Rubber Bands
Sevi wanted to stop and pick up gritty rubber bands off the damp
sidewalk this morning, in order to give them to Frank Adams, who's
collecting them. I said identifying what kind they were (i.e. wild
vs. domesticated, exotic etc) was important, and for that we'd need
the Field Guide.
